2009-2010 NLC TOPICS—ML FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA

Computer Slide Show—Middle Level
The 40th anniversary of Earth Day is April 22, 2010, and will be recognized by future generations as a turning point and a shift toward global sustainability symbolized by the birth of the Green Generation.  Create a slide show to promote Earth Day and green ideas and activities for FBLA ML students and chapters to help  make a difference in the world.  This slide show presentation must include, but not be limited to:  Earth Day history, Earth Day facts, a one-minute promotional video or podcast prepared by FBLA ML students publicizing Earth Day 2010, tips on protecting the environment and national resources, pictures and descriptions of members participating in a “green” project.

Web Page Creation—Middle Level
With the gas prices rising, concerns of global warming intensifying, and politicians debating possible forms of alternative energy, it is critical that FBLA ML chapters help preserve the environment while simultaneously discovering the tremendous influence energy and conservation can have on the business world.  Design an eco-friendly web site on “Going Green” to include the following:  recycling tips, information on Earth Day including history and at least one link to Earth Day sites, link to the national site (www.fbla-pbl.org) ML page and the national FBLA ML Go Green project, digital photos and information about at least two FBLA ML green member or chapter projects, information on Arbor Day, energy saving tips, and anything else concerning the environment, recycling, conservation, etc.
