FLORIDA FBLA-PBL
STATE ADVISER BRIEFINGS
January 6, 2010
District On-line Testing for FBLA. Thank you to all chapter advisers and district directors for the extra work it took to register for the FBLA District tests this year. I am now in the process of getting all this information to the testing company. We look forward to successful district conferences.

Business Achievement and CMAP Awards. The Business Achievement Awards (BAA) for FBLA and CMAP for PBL application is located on the national web site (www.fbla-pbl.org). To date, there have been nearly 4,000 student registrations across the nation—an increase of more than 50 percent over last year's paper version. Let’s get busy and get our Florida members recognized through this program.
National has modified the BAA and CMAP online process by adding batch registration functionality to the student registration, reducing the need to type repetitive data. The batch registration can be accessed from a link on the left side of the BAA and CMAP page.
In addition, advisers are no longer required to select activities for their students' awards. Students may now log in and select activities for their awards on their own. This will reduce the time requirement for advisers and help make the process smoother. Please let your members know about this easy way to be recognized for work they are already doing through our organization!
FBLA-PBL Day at Universal. Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 27! Join FBLA and PBL members and advisers from across the state at Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure. An order form for discounted tickets is attached. All orders must be received by February 5, 2010. This is always an exciting day…be sure to join us!
